rsenal have confirmed defender Gabriel Magalhães has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until June 2029.

The 26-year-old Brazilian centre-back has committed his future to the Gunners, ending speculation about his long-term plans at the Emirates Stadium.

Speaking about the new deal, Gabriel said: “I love this club, I love the supporters, my teammates, stadium. I’m so proud and thank you for the support. We continue together for the future.”

Gabriel joined Arsenal from Lille in 2020 for £27 million. Since his arrival, he has made over 150 appearances for the club and established himself as a first-team regular under manager Mikel Arteta.

The defender has formed a strong partnership with William Saliba at the heart of Arsenal’s defence. Together, they helped Arsenal finish second in the Premier League in the 2022-23 season and maintain their position as top-four contenders.

Arsenal supporters can expect to see Gabriel continue as a central figure in the team’s defensive setup through the remainder of the decade.
