So far this summer, we have seen Liverpool show some serious ambition in the transfer market. They have already confirmed the signings of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, as well as Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.
They have also confirmed the signing of Milos Kerkez from AFC Bournemouth, as well as the pre-arranged signing of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia. In addition, they are also said to be trying to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
This sort of spending means there will need to be outgoings too. We have already seen Caoimhin Kelleher join Brentford and Jarell Quansah join Bayer Leverkusen – and they managed to get £8.7m for the out of contract Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Another player said to be departing is Luis DÃaz, who look to be joining Bayern Munich for a fee of around £65 million pounds (75 million Euros), as per Paul Joyce.

When the Colombian international first joined Liverpool from FC Porto in January of 2022, he looked electric, slotting straight into a side who were two games away from winning the quadruple.
However, in October of that year, he suffered a knee injury that kept him out of action for six months. It is clear that injury worsened his mobility, and he has not quite been the same player since.
It’s not to say he’s a bad player, far from it. He’s just “fine”. If he had continued on his pre injury trajectory, he’d have been a lot better than that, but here we are.
Bayern have been in clear need of a left winger. Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are not the players they were a few years ago, and Leroy Sane – also not the player he once was – departed for Galatasaray this summer.
Having players like Coman and Gnabry as squad options would be fine. They are players capable of grabbing a goal off the bench and allowing the starters some rest. But Bayern will need better when it comes to the starting XI.
Given the turnover at Bayer Leverkusen this summer, it is still possible that Vincent Kompany’s side have domestic success, but when it comes to the latter stages of the Champions League, they are going to need better than DÃaz, you feel.
