Tomorrow evening, Paris Saint Germain will showdown with Chelsea in the final of the Club World Cup final, as they look to add one more piece of silverware to their incredible season.
Amidst the chaos of this PSG season, you would be forgiven for forgetting that Marco Asensio is still contracted to the club, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. Well, it looks like that is not going to be the case for much longer.

According to many reports, the 29-year old is on the verge of joining Turkish side Fenerbahce, after he accepted a proposal. This signing would signal some big ambition.
After he joined Villa last season, Asensio made an instant impact with his goals, assists and general performances – though his level did fade towards the end of his time in the West Midlands. Nevertheless, it feels like a coup for a club outside of the top five leagues.
Despite the player being the only Real Madrid player (at the time) to be part of Luis Enrique’s 2022 World Cup squad with Spain, he never really got the game time under his compatriot in Paris, starting just 21 Ligue 1 games in 18 months before he joined Villa on loan.
With the attack PSG have, that is no shame. As it is, with not even 12 months remaining on his contract in the French capital, there is no doubt that they will have been looking to cash in on the forgotten man whilst they still can.
Asensio will be linking up with Jose Mourinho in Istanbul, and could form a deadly attack with the likes of Anderson Talisca, Jhon Duran, and Youssef En-Nesyri.
