Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Chelsea to bring in striker Nicolas Jackson on a season-long loan.

The German champions, keen to bolster their attack before Monday’s transfer deadline, have moved quickly to secure the 23-year-old forward, who is set to arrive in Bavaria in the coming days to finalise the move.
Reports in Germany and England confirm that Bayern will pay a loan fee of around €15 million, with an option to make the deal permanent next summer for €65 million. Chelsea have also included a sell-on clause in case the transfer becomes long-term. Personal terms are already understood to be agreed, leaving only the final paperwork to complete.
The fee makes Jackson’s switch one of the most expensive loan deals in football history, with Bayern also covering his full wages during his stay. While the financial package has raised eyebrows, the club believe Jackson’s versatility and potential make him a valuable addition.
Jackson, who joined Chelsea in 2023, has registered 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 appearances across all competitions. Known for his pace, movement off the ball and ability to create chances for teammates, the Senegalese international is expected to give Vincent Kompany more options in the final third. However, improving his finishing remains an area of focus as he looks to take his game to the next level.
The striker is expected to make his Bayern debut after the international break. In a twist of fate, he could soon face his parent club Chelsea in the Champions League, with both sides drawn in the same group.
Bayern, who have lost several attacking players this summer, are expected to remain active in the final days of the transfer window as Kompany looks to shape a squad capable of defending the Bundesliga title and challenging in Europe.
