Real Betis have agreed a deal to sign winger Antony from Manchester United in a transfer worth €22 million plus a further €3m in potential add-ons.
The Spanish club will also grant United a 50% sell-on clause, meaning the Premier League side will benefit from any future profit should the Brazilian move on again.
Antony, 24, joined Manchester United from Ajax in 2022 but struggled to consistently deliver in the Premier League. After two years at Old Trafford, he is now set for a fresh start in La Liga, where Betis hope his creativity and flair can light up their attack.
The move marks a significant coup for Real Betis, who have been active in strengthening their squad this summer. For Antony, it provides an opportunity to relaunch his career in Spain and showcase the talent that made him one of Europe’s most talked-about wingers during his Ajax days.
Manchester United, meanwhile, recover part of their initial investment while ensuring they remain financially tied to Antony’s future success through the sell-on clause.
The Brazilian is now expected to complete his medical and finalise personal terms before being officially presented as a Real Betis player.
