The Gunners have been confirmed as champions of England for the first time since 2004 after Manchester City’s 1-1 draw away at Bournemouth ended the title race.
For Arsenal supporters, it marks the end of more than two decades of frustration, near misses and rebuilding. For Mikel Arteta, it is the reward for years of work that has transformed the club into the strongest team in the country.
Arsenal have spent much of the season at the top of the table and looked determined to finish the job after narrowly missing out in previous campaigns. Having finished second in each of the last three seasons, there were moments when it seemed the title could slip away once again.

A crucial defeat to Manchester City in April raised fresh doubts and appeared to hand the advantage to Pep Guardiola’s side. However, Arsenal responded impressively, showing the consistency and resilience that had often been questioned in recent years.
As City dropped points at Bournemouth, Arsenal’s position at the summit was secured and the celebrations began.
The achievement is one of the biggest moments of Arteta’s managerial career. Since taking charge, the Spaniard has rebuilt the squad, developed a clear playing style and restored belief throughout the club. The Premier League title is his second major trophy as Arsenal manager and ends a six-year wait for silverware at the Emirates Stadium.
Players wasted little time joining the celebrations. Midfielder Declan Rice shared a photo with team-mates on social media, accompanied by a message celebrating the title success. Captain Martin Odegaard was also pictured enjoying the moment, with Arsenal players embracing the achievement after years of coming close.
The victory also carries special significance for former manager Arsène Wenger, who guided Arsenal to their previous league title in the famous 2003/04 “Invincibles” season. The club paid tribute to Wenger as celebrations spread across social media.
Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith believes the title is thoroughly deserved. He praised the team’s consistency throughout the campaign, particularly their defensive strength, which has been a key factor behind their success.
While Arsenal have not been the league’s highest-scoring side, they have proved to be one of the most balanced teams in the division. Their organisation, discipline and ability to deliver results under pressure have helped them stay ahead of their rivals.
The celebrations may not be over yet.
Arsenal still have the chance to make this season even more memorable as they prepare for the UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest later this month.
Having already secured the Premier League trophy, the pressure heading into that match could be very different. With the league title won, Arsenal now have the opportunity to chase European glory and potentially complete one of the greatest seasons in the club’s history.
For now, though, the focus belongs on a remarkable achievement.
After 22 years of waiting, Arsenal are champions of England once again.
